  • Candidates are preferred to have a background in engineering, either through a formal apprenticeship or a degree, with experience in Pumps, Valves, or Rotating equipment being highly advantageous.
  • The position offers a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per year, with flexible working hours from Monday to Friday, including an early finish on Fridays.
  • Responsibilities include managing customer bases, preparing quotations, maintaining the CRM system, and identifying new selling opportunities.

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the rotating equipment sector are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis due to continued growth.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working within a similar role managing customer enquiries, preparing detailed technical quotations and order processing activities within a manufacturing engineering environment. This may also suit an ambitious candidate looking to take the next step in their career into a more commercially orientated role.

Candidates will ideally be qualified in an Engineering discipline whether this be a formal apprenticeship or degree background. Experience working with Pumps/ Valves/ Rotating equipment is highly advantageous.

Hours - Monday - Friday 36.5 hours  - Flexible start and finish times available + early finish on Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and following up on quotations for MRO / Projects.
  • Participate in contract reviews as and when required to ensure all technical and commercial aspects of the order are agreed, understood, and accepted and are in line with the quotation issued.
  • Managing the customer base, seeking new opportunities for the company products with direct customer contact
  • Maintain the CRM system.
  • Attend internal client kick-off meetings when required.
  • Identify selling opportunities and solicit enquiries from interested parties.
  • Work closely with the Project Administration team from the first bid stage onwards.
  • Review customer general terms and conditions and raise awareness where required.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated in an engineering discipline - Formal apprenticeship or degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experienced in processing technical quotations from receipt through to close of sale.
  • Experience using Salesforce would be advantageous 
  • Working knowledge of Pumps/ Valves/ Rotating equipment is Highly Advantageous  
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal 
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure
