Are you an experienced Semi Senior Accountant with a passion for delivering outstanding service to clients? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you. This permanent role offers variety and fulfilment, as you'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients within an established firm.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies for review and finalisation by management

- Prepare and submit Self-Assessment Tax returns

- Prepare and file Corporation Tax returns

- Prepare and submit VAT returns

- Perform bank reconciliations

- Provide basic tax advice to clients

- Utilise accounting software on a daily basis

- Handle correspondence and queries from HMRC

- Provide customer service, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and addressing queries and complaints

- Perform other duties as required by the practice

- Collaborate as an essential team member to support and achieve the company's goals

- Commit to continuous professional development, enhancing skills and knowledge for the benefit of the company

- Use knowledge, experience, and expertise to mentor and develop other staff within the business, contributing to the company's long-term success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualifications

- Previous experience in preparing annual accounts

- Knowledge of company and personal taxation

- Understanding of VAT preparation for companies

- Enthusiastic and detail-oriented

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent time management, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

- Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to coordinate, organise, and take responsibility for performance

- Proficient IT skills, with competency in Word and Excel.
