About the Role:

Our client, a leading specialist manufacturer based near Kendal, is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Operative to join their team. Due to the rural location, it is highly desirable for candidates to have their own transport.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare and operate machinery to meet production requirements.
  • Material Handling: Load materials into machines, ensuring smooth operation and accurate production.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections on finished items, confidently identifying and reporting any defects.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks to ensure machine efficiency and prevent downtime.
  • Heavy Lifting & Equipment Use: Operate lifting equipment and handle materials as required, observing safe practices.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow stringent health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Site Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficiency and safety.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team, ensuring clear communication and mutual support.
