This role is central to the financial operations, providing clear, accurate, and detailed information on overhead costs to identify and deliver cost efficiencies. If you have a passion for financial management and a knack for driving cost efficiency, we want to hear from you!

Day to day of the role:
  • Develop and maintain robust procedures for accurate month-end direct and overhead cost accruals.
  • Prepare detailed monthly direct costs and overheads reports, providing critical insights for financial clarity.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with budget holders to review costs, investigate variances, and enhance cost efficiencies.
  • Communicate key insights through summary narratives on monthly costs for the business leadership team.
  • Prepare monthly material cost reports and address standard cost variances with actionable plans.
  • Collaborate on annual direct costs and overheads budgets, three-year plans, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and investigations related to commercial performance, direct costs, stock, and overheads.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA), with a preference for experience in a manufacturing business.
  • Strong influencing and teamwork skills, with the ability to drive cost management decisions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in accounting ledgers and cost reports.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to meet various deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to analyse cost information and identify anomalies.
  • Resourcefulness in identifying cost savings and collaborating with colleagues to implement them.
  • Energetic, positive, well-organised, and operates with high integrity.
