Hours – 48hrs per week, 4 on 4 off, 2, days, 2 nights

Location – Kendal
Salary – From £35k - £40k DOE

Talento Group is recruiting for our longstanding client who is a well-established commercial Food Production business. We are looking to recruit an Engineer, with a mechanical bias, to work within the Maintenance Department in their Kendal based production facility.

This post will report to the Engineering Manager, and as part of the team you will carry out engineering and maintenance functions for the following:

  • Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and assist with emergency breakdowns.
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times.

The candidate should have:

  • Decision making skills
  • Good communication skills
  • An Enthusiastic attitude and the ability to learn quickly
  • Flexibility and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations

Essential qualifications:

  • Experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance in an industrial environment.  Preferably within a Food Production Environment

Preferred qualifications/experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering Maintenance
  • Experience of working in an industrial production environment.
  • Good experience in Fault Finding
