Reed Business Support Lancaster are seeking a dedicated In-house Recruiter & Onboarding Coordinator to join our clients  HR team based in Kendal.

This role is crucial in supporting our clients recruitment efforts, ensuring a seamless hiring process, and enhancing their employee onboarding experience. If you are passionate about recruitment and have a knack for finding the right talent, we would love to hear from you. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Talent Searching: Actively seek right-fit candidates on platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Recruitment Administration: Prepare and issue offer letters and contracts of employment while maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate the Full Recruitment Cycle: Manage processes from advertising job vacancies and screening applications to scheduling interviews and onboarding new employees.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers: Collaborate closely with department leaders to understand staffing needs and ensure a seamless hiring process.
  • Talent Screening: Review applications, conduct initial screenings, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Candidate Experience: Provide timely feedback, clear communication, and support throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Local Recruitment Campaigns: Assist in organising and managing recruitment campaigns and outreach efforts to attract top talent locally and regionally.
  • Support New Starters: Facilitate the onboarding process, including scheduling inductions, to ensure new team members feel welcomed and supported from day one.
  • Compliance Management: Manage the company’s sponsorship license and ensure compliance with the Right to Work for new employees.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recruitment sourcing and HR experience (agency or in-house), 
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law.
  • Experience in high-volume recruitment within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient knowledge of employment contracts and the onboarding process.
  • Flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks or projects and see them through to completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Office and handling phone communications.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
