Support Procurement & Contract Managers in delivering efficient procurement and contract management for statutory and non-statutory services, ensuring compliance with EU Procurement Directives and Council regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advice and support on procurement and contract management across Council directorates.
- Lead on low-risk/low-value tenders and support high-risk/high-value procurement.
- Monitor contract compliance, KPIs, and financial performance, including site visits and quality assurance.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, working closely with internal teams and external providers.
- Lead commissioning activities for corporate goods/services, conducting market research and developing specifications.
- Ensure e-procurement catalogues and pricing remain updated.
- NVQ Level 3 in Procurement/Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
- Experience in tendering, contract management, and procurement within a statutory organisation.
- Knowledge of legal terms, risk management, and contract monitoring.
- No budget or staff management responsibilities.
- Hybrid working with occasional external meetings.
- No DBS check required.
