Reed Education is seeking a dynamic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term basis this position could possibly lead to a permanent role for the right candidate. The role is for an immediate start. This role is ideal for someone who has strong classroom support, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom support in a secondary school setting.
  • Assist in the delivery of lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Support the emotional and educational needs of students.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience of students.
  • Demonstrate qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recent relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting is highly advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, commitment, and interest in working with students.
  • Ability to act as a good role model for students.
  • Must be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure, including a Children’s barred list check and satisfactory referencing.
