** Statutory Accountant **

We are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to enhance our financial reporting and compliance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our processes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of UK and Overseas legal entity statutory reporting and tax returns, adhering to local GAAP/IFRS and other reporting standards.
  • Regulatory and compliance reports & surveys, and support for cost centre budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Complete VAT returns and prepare the corresponding paperwork for payment.
  • Establish and manage strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, external auditors, and external tax advisors, and coordinate audits smoothly.
  • Support the manager with common processes, and other ad hoc projects to drive efficiency and quality improvements within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CA, ACCA, or CIMA) with hands-on experience in applying IFRSs for financial reporting.
  • Strong technical understanding of VAT, local GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS for financial reporting, including knowledge of overseas legislation and requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivots and formulas. SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience in auditing, particularly within large practice firms, would be an advantage.
