Gleeson Recruitment Group are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join a well-renowned company based in Warwickshire. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class team within a leading luxury manufacturer, renowned for its heritage and commitment to excellence.

The role of Financial Reporting Accountant would be best suited to qualified (ACA/ICAEW/ACCA) accountants, with strong technical accounting expertise, gained either within a large multinational organisation or through delivering financial reporting activities via a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm. You will be highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The ability to build strong relationships and communicate complex financial matters across all levels is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance improvements across the Financial Reporting team. You will play a crucial role in managing the month end operational process, preparing stat accounts, and supporting external audit requirements. You will business partner with various internal teams such as Investor Relations, Operations and Sales, making a direct impact on achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the month-end operational process, ensuring accurate accounting close timing and supporting management accounts reporting.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for audit, ensuring compliance and high-quality reporting.
  • Manage the relationship with key external audit contacts, supporting the day-to-day audit process.
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations and operate key financial review controls.
  • Lead entity intercompany reconciliations and manage elimination transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial information for the annual report and quarterly financial updates.
  • Oversee IFRS 16 lease accounting and make monthly adjustments.
  • Maintain the integrity of company debtors and oversee debt meetings with Sales teams.
  • Support Treasury transactional requirements and approval of online banking transactions.
  • Ensure the accounting sub-ledgers tie to the General Ledger and support Segregation of Duties.
About You:
  • Professional accounting certification (ACA/ICAEW/ACCA).
  • Strong Excel skills, including spreadsheet modelling and data analysis.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with IFRS 16.
