Interim Statutory Accountant
  • Annual Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
  • Warwick - Hybrid (3 days work from home)

We are seeking an interim Statutory Accountant to join a Multi-National Organisation. This role offers the opportunity to handle statutory financial duties within a dynamic environment looking after multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing statutory accounting processes and compliance, and will play a key role in financial reporting and analysis.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare and submit statutory financial statements in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
  • Liaise with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the organisation.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
  • Analyse financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on statutory accounting standards and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in statutory accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP & IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience utilising SAP is desirable
  • Practice background is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
