A well-established services business in Warwickshire is looking for a talented Management Accountant to join their team. You'll work closely with an external Finance Director and have the opportunity to make a real impact on the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the business's financial management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and presenting accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Conducting detailed variance analysis and providing commentary to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of financial data.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including double-entry bookkeeping, journal postings, and accruals/prepayments.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support business planning and growth.
  • Monitoring and improving financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to support their financial understanding and decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally within an SME environment.
  • Relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or part-qualified with substantial experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including double-entry bookkeeping and variance analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively within a small team.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
