We are seeking a Senior Statutory Accountant to join a Multi-National Organisation. This role offers the opportunity to handle statutory financial duties within a dynamic environment looking after multiple entities and building a team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing statutory accounting processes and compliance, and will play a key role in financial reporting and analysis.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare and submit statutory financial statements in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
- Liaise with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation that may impact the organisation.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings.
- Analyse financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Train and mentor junior staff on statutory accounting standards and processes.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Proven experience in statutory accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP &Â IFRS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience utilising SAP is desirable
- Big 4 or Practice background is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
