Your new companyHays are delighted to be supporting a US-owned manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor. The role is based in stunning offices with hybrid working available. Your new roleAs Senior Internal Auditor you play a vital role in undertaking external audits across Europe. This is a pivotal role and will require someone with excellent interpersonal skills and ability. Key details of the role include:

  • Perform and lead audits including the detailed testing and analysis of operational activities and business processes to identify potential control gaps, operational ineffectiveness of controls, and areas for improvement.
  • Document audit procedures, findings, and recommendations accurately and concisely, adhere to internal audit industry methodologies and departmental standards.
  • Write up audit reports and communicate audit findings in a clear and timely manner, providing actionable insights for management.
  • Lead the development of corrective actions and help to assess the adequacy of solutions offered by management. Follow up on the remediation of previously identified audit findings.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality.

What you'll need to succeedThis is a role for a fully Qualified Accountant, ideally someone looking for a first move from a larger Accountancy firm into industry who has worked on external audits or a proven internal auditor from a larger complex role. The role will involve 20% European travel so flexibility will be required. This role also requires someone who has the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders and present information in a clear and concise manner.
