Your new companyYou will be joining a specialist main contractor working on major gas upgrade schemes nationwide. Focusing on gas transmission, gas services and gas metering. The contractor delivers gas to homes and businesses nationwide. Alongside a desire to lead a clean energy future. Due to expansion and project intake they are now looking to onboard lead estimators and senior estimators.

Your new roleThe role involves managing and developing cost estimates and establishing estimating methodologies. You will collaborate with the project team to determine the project scope, identify information gaps and enhance data quality for more accurate estimates. Additionally, you will gather missing information, develop assumptions, track progress and oversee governance reviews and approvals. Liaising with stakeholders is crucial as you will interact with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will be confident estimating from first principles and have understanding of Quantity Surveying. In addition, you will also understand the process of getting a project priced up, cost plans and understand the timings to get each process followed through. Finally, you will be an effective team player and communicator.
