Our client is seeking a meticulous and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on an initial 3-6 month contract. Based in the vibrant location of Coleshill, this role offers a competitive salary of £27,000. The successful candidate will be working Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00, providing ample time for work-life balance. What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and ensuring smooth transactions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing and entering supplier invoices, dealing with queries, and making timely payments. You will also be responsible for maintaining various reports and resolving any discrepancies. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will contribute significantly to the efficient operation of the finance department.

* Preparing and entering supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding is captured* Working through a backlog of invoices* Dealing with any queries* Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution by telephone, letter, fax or email* Making payments to suppliers and other payments as they occur by due date* Maintenance of the aged creditor reports* Maintenance of the unapproved ageing report, escalating overdue items where applicable
