A Business Analyst is sought to join a high performing business transformation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support the successful migration to a single-source data platform, ensuring that data from various systems is efficiently consolidated and managed, ready to provide commercial and operational value. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to understand their data and reporting needs, ensuring these requirements are met both during and after the migration process.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and implementation of end-to-end data solutions on a single-source platform used by internal teams
  • Analyse data sources, structures, and usage across various systems to inform the design of the new data platform
  • Manage the discovery of backlog items and prepare them for delivery in alignment with migration goals
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with relevant roadmaps and expectations
  • Facilitate workshops and attend daily stand-ups and project meetings to ensure smooth migration progress
  • Develop a solid understanding of business needs and recommend the appropriate data platform solutions to meet those needs
  • Perform requirements elicitation, working with stakeholders to gather and document both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Develop AS-IS and TO-BE process models to capture current and future state processes
  • Map and analyse business processes, identifying areas for improvement or automation
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are translated effectively into solutions

Experience

  • Significant experience working as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment, ideally on data platform or migration projects
  • Proven track record of managing data migrations, especially for single-source platforms
  • Experience working in an agile environment, including managing backlogs and sprints
  • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and business analysis techniques such as AS-IS and TO-BE analysis
  • Extensive experience in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and facilitating requirements workshops
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data management practices, and technologies, including business intelligence concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong facilitation skills, particularly in system or service design workshops

Location: Hybrid role based in Warwickshire (2 days per week in the office)

Salary: Up to £55,000, plus benefits (inc. pension, life assurance, bonus opportunity)
