Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive commercial value into Transport and Distribution through the delivery of organic, efficiency, and new business growth. This role will work closely with operational and planning stakeholders within Transport, whilst forging an integral interface with internal Sales and Business Development functions. The successful candidate will take ownership of opportunity management for Transport, ensuring sincere and appropriate responses, developing strategic and targeted revenue opportunities, and producing data to be shared with Sales and Business Development functions.

What you'll do:

As a Commercial Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial value into Transport and Distribution. You will work closely with various stakeholders within the organisation, developing strategic revenue opportunities, and sharing valuable data with Sales and Business Development functions. Your role will also involve supporting the digital agenda within Transport, increasing visibility, identifying collaboration across customer opportunities, and offering innovative solutions to existing customers.

  • Take ownership of opportunity management for Transport
  • Develop strategic and targeted revenue opportunities
  • Produce data to be shared with Sales and Business Development functions
  • Work with partners from across the business to develop and deliver leading-edge concepts for optimising Transport
  • Support the digital agenda within Transport in order to increase visibility
  • Identify opportunities within existing customers to offer closed book lanes rates by merging transport activity
