Role Overview

This role will be focused on designing and implementing a reformed Connections process to achieve quicker connections for viable and Net Zero aligned projects, as well as a more coordinated and efficient network design that benefits customers and consumers.

We are looking to welcome an experienced Project Planner to join our clients team supporting this high-visibility, complex programme. The programme activity is already in-flight with a delivery team working to challenging timescales, although the plan is still being developed. The Planner will need to navigate this, working closely with Project Managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to further develop and manage plans.

This role reports into the Programme Manager and be responsible for developing, integrating, and managing project and programme plans, across the full programme life cycle.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of key project planning principles such as Scheduling, Risk Analysis/Assessments, Baseline Management, Critical Path Analysis, Integrated Planning, and Resourcing
  • Experience managing complex programme plans across various planning tools (Microsoft Project, POL, etc)
  • Skilled in creating detailed project plans and high-level milestones to keep projects on track
  • Ability to create strong visual reports to support, communicate and socialise to key stakeholders is essential - reflecting timeline, critical path, RAG, risk, due dates, overdue tasks, etc
  • Energy/ Utilities background beneficial.
