SCADA Training Lead

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced SCADA Training Lead to join their team. As the SCADA Training Lead, you will be responsible for managing the creation and delivery of engaging training for their SCADA software and processes. Your goal will be to ensure the effective use of their SCADA system, maintain operational competence, and support the transition from IEMS to their SCADA system.

Key Responsibilities:

Finalise the training needs assessment for all trainee groups defined in the programme's training strategy.

Work with training managers to maintain the plan for user training activities.

Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop and approve training content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Collaborate with the programme's communications lead to develop and implement a training communication plan, keeping all stakeholders informed.

Coordinate train-the-trainer and local expert upskilling activities.

Manage training delivery, including invites and logistics, aligned with the overall deployment plan.

Collaborate with AO and TNCC training managers to coordinate the activities of trainers.

Ensure consistency of training quality and content throughout deployment.

Resolve escalated issues associated with training delivery.

Report on training feedback and make necessary adjustments.

Report on training attendance and address any shortfalls.

Establish mechanisms to assess operational competence and report on trainees' competence levels.

Manage the transition of training materials from the project to an enduring resource.

Supporting Responsibilities:

Support business readiness forums by delivering summaries of training progress and plans.

Participate in rehearsals for exceptional events such as business continuity management.

Provide post go-live support by addressing knowledge gaps highlighted by specific areas of user concern.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Extensive experience in training delivery and management.

Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, software, and processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Experience in change management and transition planning.

Prior experience in the energy or utilities industry is an asset.
