This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the automotive sector and eager to drive financial excellence in a dynamic environment. The Role:As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring financial processes run smoothly and effectively. You will collaborate closely with various teams, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making and enhancing overall financial efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting:Manage sales ledger, purchase ledger, and general ledger processes. Prepare management accounts, providing clear variance analysis and reporting. Lead statutory accounts preparation, liaising with external auditors. Ensure compliance with R&D tax requirements, working with external partners. Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow:Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial plans with business objectives. Maintain accurate cash flow forecasting to ensure financial stability. Strengthen financial and budgetary controls to optimise cost efficiency. Business Partnering & Strategic Support:Collaborate with senior management, production, and commercial teams to provide financial insights. Support the commercial team with accurate costings and quotations. Deliver financial analysis to aid strategic planning. Process & Controls Improvement:Develop and enhance financial controls, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards. Implement process improvements to elevate financial efficiency. Integrate financial data seamlessly within ERP systems. Key Requirements:? Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). ? Solid technical accounting skills with up-to-date knowledge. ? Background in automotive, engineering, or manufacturing sectors. ? Proven experience in R&D tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls. ? Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders. ? Commercially aware, with experience in quoting jobs and financial analysis. ?
