Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of HR Workforce Services join our public sector client on an interim basis for up to 6 months This role is offered on a hybrid basis with 2 to 3 days a week onsite

The duties of Head of HR Workforce Services include:

  • Working in partnership with the Head of Workforce to deliver the people strategy outcomes and provide an effective workforce service to the council
  • Responsibility for setting strategic plans in recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, organisational wellbeing, health and safety, payroll and systems management
  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of recruitment and onboarding, temporary agency contracts, employee relations, policy frameworks, trade union engagement, change management projects including service improvements, and HR systems development
  • Overall responsibility for the procurement and management of the contracts related to the service area
  • Monitoring performance of the delivery of the people outcomes and put interventions in place to address any issues
  • Understanding business issues by building relationship with internal and external customers
  • Diagnosing and defining effective and creative workforce solutions to address business needs
  • Responsibility for the development of the traded growth strategy
  • Acting as the operational HROD professional lead for the authority.

The HR Service Manager will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience
  • Experience within a public sector organisation
  • Experience of leading and co-ordinating projects including complex workforce transformation programmes and strategies
  • Experience of leading change withing the HROD function
  • Experience of HROD system management and development.
