Role Overview:As a VOIP/Telephony Provisioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in configuring, deploying, and managing VOIP services for our clients. Your expertise will ensure seamless telephony experiences for end-users while contributing to the reliability and scalability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision and configure VOIP/telephony systems for new and existing clients.
  • Manage onboarding and setup processes, including number porting and SIP trunking.
  • Collaborate with sales and support teams to gather client requirements and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot VOIP issues, including call quality and connectivity.
  • Maintain and update documentation on provisioning processes and system configurations.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest VOIP/telephony technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in VOIP/telephony provisioning or a related field.
  • Proficiency with SIP, RTP, and related telephony protocols.
  • Experience with VOIP platforms such as 3CX, Asterisk, FreePBX, Cisco, or BroadSoft.
  • Knowledge of number porting processes and regulations.
  • Familiarity with network concepts, including firewalls, NAT, and QoS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Skills:

  • Certification in VOIP/telephony technologies (e.g., Cisco CCNA Voice, SIP School certifications).
  • Experience with cloud-based telephony platforms.
  • Familiarity with database management and querying.
