We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to lead the rollout of our Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution, CyberArk.

The successful candidate will have experience of running a project to discover and onboard privileged accounts into CyberArk which includes training and removal of existing access. Due to the company dealing with Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) the candidate must be able to obtain SC clearance.

This is a pivotal role where the successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with external stakeholders, and drive the transformation of our Privileged Access Management capability.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Leadership: working with the IDAM architect lead the team of business analysts and PAM engineers to connect CyberArk to target systems, perform account discovery and onboard accounts inti CyberArk considering the business change aspects associated including cleansing/removing old access
  • Process Assessment: Direct and actively support the team in the creation of processes and standard operating procedures to transition CyberArk into Business As Usual
  • Project Planning: ensure that the project is effectively planned and tracked
  • Risk Mitigation: Identity potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal teams, industry regulators, local authorities, and third-party contractors to gather insights, align objectives, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Recommendations & Implementation: Develop and present clear, actionable recommendations for process improvements, safety enhancements, and operational efficiency. Lead the implementation of approved changes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure processes and approaches are auditable and effectively manage PAM and IDAM security controls
  • Project Delivery: Manage the project lifecycle, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to key stakeholders and senior management on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for internal teams on new processes, ensuring smooth adoption and long-term sustainability.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a security function working on Privileged Access Management
  • Strong understanding of Privileged Access Management and Wider Identity Access Management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience with Business Change and associated frameworks
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and deliver clear, actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Experience within the gas transmission or broader energy sector.
  • CyberArk (or similar) certification
