Role Overview

As a Telecoms and Broadband IT Provisioning Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. You will manage the provisioning of broadband, VoIP, and other telecom services, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure timely and high-quality service activation.

The ideal candidate would have already worked in the telecoms industry in a provisioning role or have some basic understand of industry language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Provisioning: Oversee the end-to-end provisioning process for telecoms and broadband services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Customer Activation: Configure and activate customer services, including broadband lines, routers, and VoIP platforms.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with carriers and service providers to manage orders, monitor progress, and resolve issues.
  • Network Configuration: Support the setup of network elements, including static IPs, VLANs, and other configurations as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve provisioning-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of provisioning activities, customer configurations, and service updates.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in provisioning workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Experience

  • Telecoms Knowledge: In-depth understanding of broadband technologies (e.g., ADSL, FTTC, FTTP), VoIP, and network principles.
  • Provisioning Tools: Experience with telecoms provisioning platforms and CRM systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with network configuration, IP address management, and routing protocols.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a similar role within the telecoms or broadband industry.
