Position: Electricity Compliance Contracts Manager

Location: Hybrid - Warwick, on-site 1 - 2 days per week

Duration: 6 Months

Role Purpose

Lead and manage the connections compliance processes to deliver and maintain compliant customer connections against the contractual framework, technical apprecidies and industry codes. Providing all necessary assurance of compliance to the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Effectively co-ordinate cross-functional project teams and external customers and stakeholders, including Transmission Owners, Distribution Owners and Developers, to deliver and maintain customer compliance and connection projects in a timely manner and in line with the contractual framework and industry codes (Grid Code, STC, BSC).
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers across a portfolio of complex projects, to deliver value and ensure future compliance is achieved, all technical requirements are met and stability of the system is maintained.
  • Provide expert compliance knowledge to the business, anticipating customers queries and pro-actively resolving issues swiftly and in full.
  • Identify any associated connection compliance risks and lead the development of solutions to mitigate these risks for the overall benefit of customers, stakeholders, and the business.
  • Lead the continual improvement of internal and external processes through implementation of change initiatives.
  • Accurately record and effectively manage data in all appropriate systems, ensuring compliance with licence, industry codes and GDPR.
  • Deliver seamless and efficient services both internally and externally for our customers and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of effectively dealing with customers leading to dispute resolution.
  • Experience in simultaneously managing multiple projects to a high standards.
  • Knowledge of the Grid Code, CUSC, STC and associated governance structures and regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the electricity transmission system, equipment and the users network design.
  • Ability to understand the technical and commercial requirements of the codes and how to apply them to projects
  • Ability to deliver change, identify and mitigate complex risks, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to understand complex issues and offer users viable solutions, considering impact on the electricity system.
  • Ability to explain complex contractual issues to customers in simple terms.
  • Capability of ensuring any interdependencies on projects is understood and explained to the end user.
