We are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Senior Buyer to join a leading procurement team. This role offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the development of an industry-leading procurement function, working closely with category management and marketing teams.

Day-to-day of the role:

Collaborate with the Category Manager to develop and implement category plans that align with business objectives and strategies.
Manage and enhance supplier product profiles considering market demands and regional differences.
Analyse product purchases, profitability, and supplier performance, providing benchmarking insights against market and company trends.
Work with the Marketing team to devise and execute marketing initiatives that support category plans and manage supplier marketing budgets.
Negotiate and agree on supplier commercial terms including discounts, rebates, and marketing support.
Lead supplier-related initiatives and provide strategic category insights at the management level.
Identify and propose new product opportunities within the category.
Ensure the accuracy of product data in collaboration with the product data team and suppliers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in a Procurement role (Buyer, Product Manager or Category Manager).
Electrical product knowledge is desirable
Full driving licence
