A well known social housing contractor who specialise in repairs and maintenance work are looking for an Quantity Surveyor or experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team due to expansion and an increase in workload. Your role will be working alongside a team of surveyors to deliver a large contract across Birmingham.

Client Details

This client specialise in refurbishment and maintenance works a wide variety of schemes with local authorities/councils/housing associations. They work across central and southern Birmingham and they work on a wide variety of occupied and unoccupied properties from a residential and commercial perspective.

Description

Your role will involve:

  • Working alongside the commercial team to ensure all commercial elements of the job are in place and adhered to, allowing the projects to run as smoothly as possible
  • Negotiation with clients and the supply chain
  • Relationship building
  • Liaising with the client and contractors

Profile

Ideally you will already have experience working in a similar role and have knowledge and understanding of construction contracts, BoQs and Schedule of rates as well as working on frameworks and closely with the client and local authorities.

You will be happy working both on site and in the office as well as some hybrid working - however a large amount of the role will be out on site and working as part of the wider team.
