Policy by Murray are delighted to be working with The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), who are looking for a Technical Manager (Policy and Research) who will take the lead in delivering impactful research, providing technical support to members, and shaping policy for their dynamic industry.
About the Role:This is your chance to make a tangible impact on the landscape sector. As their Technical Manager focusing on Policy and Research you'll oversee critical research projects, support BALI's membership with expert technical advice, and help craft policies that address the evolving needs of the industry. You'll play a key role in ensuring our work is grounded in the latest industry knowledge, trends, and legislation-empowering members to stay ahead of the curve.
Working across departments and closely with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, you'll bring your technical expertise to the table, contributing to business plans, strategic initiatives, and policy development. Whether you're managing a high-stakes research project or developing learning materials, you'll help ensure that BALI remains the go-to resource for cutting-edge technical insights.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage technical research projects, ensuring high standards, on-time delivery, and within budget.
- Provide valuable technical support to BALI's membership, marketing, and learning teams.
- Drive the development of policy and research strategies aligned with BALI's long-term goals.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key industry stakeholders to stay on top of emerging issues.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends, legislation, and best practices.

Practical details:
- Salary: negotiable, and dependent on experience
- Contract type: full-time, permanent
- Working type: hybrid, with a few days per week at their office in Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth.
