This is a fixed-term maternity cover position starting in January and lasting for a full year. The successful candidate will have full teaching responsibilities for Key Stage 3 students with a range of special educational needs.Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of KS3 students with diverse SEN requirements.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters students' academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
