Butler Ross are currently supporting an excellent energy/utilities organisation in their continued expansion and development. Currently, we are looking to recruit for a Procurement Manager to cover the the whole of their Professional Services procurement (including strategy development). This position operates on a hybrid-working model, 2-days a week in their Warwick based office, (or an office near Reading, if preferred).

Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)

  • Leading on the development of the strategy and implementation plan for all professional services procurement to ensure the organisation is equipped to deliver on operational duties and requirements.

  • Motivating, developing and leading a team of procurement professionals

  • Directly drive value creation across the spend base, through a variety of means and mechanisms
  • Reporting on spend performance to provide a holistic picture of procurement activity.

  • Ensuring risks are anticipated, identified and mitigated to prevent any disruptions to timely procurement delivery.

  • Ensuring a rational, systematic approach to managing spend is developed and adopted across wider procurement

Ideally you will have:

  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and relationship management skills; including high-spend, large-scale. complex procurement's

  • High-level experience with professional services as an overall category
  • Strong experience designing and implementing procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, category management, leading & negotiating high complexity and value large-scale procurement's

  • Knowledge of, or experience within, regulated procurement and contract environments; familiarity with Public Contracts Regulations, Utilities Contracts Regulations or other similar regulations, laws, and restrictions.

  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management capabilities
