Are you an experienced professional with 4-5 years of practice experience, ready to take on a new challenge? We’re partnering with a well-established firm based between Kettering and Corby that’s seeking an Accounts and Audit Senior to join their supportive, growth-driven team.
Your Role:- Accounts (60%): Prepare accounts, business tax computations, management accounts, and VAT returns.
- Audit (40%): Lead audits from planning through to completion, while supervising and mentoring junior team members.
- Prepare accounts and tax computations for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Lead audits of financial statements, ensuring they are prepared for manager review.
- Communicate with clients to resolve queries and build lasting relationships.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing training.
- Prepare management accounts and VAT returns as required.
- ACA or ACCA qualified with 4-5 years of experience in a practice environment.
- Proven ability to lead audit assignments independently.
- Comfortable working with owner-managed businesses and preparing statutory accounts.
- Proficient in Excel, with strong IT skills overall.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent time management skills.
