Our FMCG client are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Accountant to join their Finance team and support their manufacturing site at Thrapston, Northamptonshire.  They are happy to consider part qualified ACCA/CIMA accountants, or fully qualified.  This position will pay a salary in the range of £50,000 to £60,000In this role, you will be integral to commercial decision-making, partnering with the site leadership team to drive growth and operational improvements. The role will require a hands-on, driven individual with the ability to challenge the status quo and implement cost control measures across manufacturing processes.You will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, including variance analysis, to improve operational performance, preparing and analysing weekly and monthly accounts, and costing site products for new customers. You will work closely with sourcing teams to optimise margins, report on inventory levels, and provide commercial insights to support decision-making. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and play a key role in the wider Finance team to drive overall business growth.The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an accountant within a manufacturing environment, with a commercial mindset. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
