Assistant AccountantLocation - KetteringSalary - £29,000 per annumHours – 8AM – 17:30PM Our client located in Kettering are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team you will be reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the role will encompass the control and maintenance of various General Ledger elements, analysis of account transactions to aid further improvements in business efficiencies, Purchase Ledger and banking payments in multi-currencies, account reconciliations, and providing assistance and input to the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual planning and audit support.In addition to these key areas, a candidate will be expected to perform varying tasks including ad hoc projects, and as necessitated by the overall business needs and objectives.  High standards of general clerical and administrative duties, and housekeeping should be demonstrated.The ideal candidate will need to…
  • High standards of numeracy, accuracy and consistency
  • PC literacy and proficiency with the use of MS Excel and Word
  • SAP ERP system experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting to Trial Balance
  • Analytical and reconciliation proficiencies
  • Management reporting
  • Banking and foreign exchange transactions
  • Knowledge of statutory declarations (e.g. VAT, Corporation Tax)
