Job Title: Operations Logistics CoordinatorDepartment: Supply Chain Hours: 08:00-17:00 Mon – Thu, 08:00-13:00 Friday  Salary: £30000Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire.Pertemps are recruiting for an Operations Logistics Coordinator for our Kettering based client within their Operations Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for daily coordination with their freight and logistics’ partners as well as their manufacturing sites and Distribution Centre’s to ensure a smooth process in line with service level agreements. Your role will be to ensure that finished goods are delivered at the right price and the right time in line with Critical Path and launch dates. Working as a team reporting into the Operations team.Your roles and responsibilities will include but not limited to:Freight/Logisitics: Track performance KPI’s, put forward suggestions / plans of action for improvement; spotting opportunities for enhanced efficiency / cost savings.Weekly review of shipment issues / service levels with global DC’sLook to streamline shipping and transportation processes utilizing logistics’ IT to optimize shipping and transport procedures where possible.Formalization of standard operating procedures and process maps.Leading regular reviews with our Distribution Centre’s in UK / and abroad, resolving issues relating to quality of deliveries / packaging / scanning issues.Monitoring and auditing critical inbound samples and deadlinesLiaise closely with all of our manufacturing sitesSupport Operations, Purchasing and Planning Teams with regular cost scenariosMange forwarder accounts, host Quarterly Business ReviewsFirst point of call for all Supply Chain related matters.  Custom/Duty: Monthly auditing / reporting on HMRC MSS data ensuring correct duty payments are being made and corrective action taken.Maintaining auditable database of UK Customs HS / US Tariff codes / Values, Origins and dutiable rates ensuring Customs compliance.Approving and checking freight invoices & customs entries.  Take the lead in preparation ahead of scheduled HMRC Audits.Develop and manage relationships internally / externally to ensure smooth schedules and execution.Quarterly performance reviews with our nominated Freight Forwarders.Ability to lead freight forwarder tender process as required.Ensuring ERP System delivery dates are maintained / revised.  Criteria: 2-3 years working in a similar role  HMRC experience and knowledge of applicable laws, regulations relating to import and export, shipping procedures, incoterms and MSS data.  Intimate apparel experience would be a significant advantage  Effective scheduling and planning skillsOutstanding organizational, coordination abilities.  Excellent communication, team-working interpersonal skillsAbility to read and interpret large sets of numerical dataStrong IT analytical skills (Microsoft 365, Excel especially, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, ERP)Interested?
