My client is a fast-growing supplier of high-quality products to the UK commercial construction industry. They are a supplier of market leading brands as well as their own in-house brands.

We are now looking for a self-motivated, organised individual with effective communication and negotiation skills who can build and maintain key account relationships. This is a full-time flexible position, likely to be two days per week working from the office in Kettering, and three days in face to face or remote meetings with customers.

Key Role

Our National Sales Account Manager will work alongside the internal sales team to strengthen relationships with key accounts. Your objective will be to generate new business maximise revenue and achieve the business objectives through effective account management. You will Identify opportunities to expand and grow existing key accounts and will play a vital role in building long term customer loyalty. You will find and develop new business opportunities with targeted customers, provide great service, technical expertise, upselling, and cross selling, all which drives sales growth and contributes to the company’s overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively book and attend daily appointments leading to successful negotiations and secured future business.
  • Generate new business opportunities and convert them into long term key accounts.
  • Achieve sales targets set and provide reports to track productivity and performance.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and its key accounts, handling any queries that may arise to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Educate customers on new products and services to maximise their use of what the company offers.
  • Attend monthly sales meetings to update the Director on progress made and plan for the month ahead.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage major projects over £100K, follow up all projects in a timely manner and effectively project manage these to secure orders.
  • Deliver CPD presentations to our target audience.
  • Complete any face-to-face specification appointments and produce the written specification as per the client’s requirements.
  • From time-to-time complete tasks in addition to those noted above to ensure smooth running of the business.
