This full-time, office-based role invites a meticulous and autonomous professional to contribute their expertise to a supportive and dynamic team.The chosen candidate will be required to be based in their delightful picturesque Offices in Northamptonshire, Monday to Friday. The firm values work-life balance, offering a generous starting annual leave with the potential for additional days based on tenure.As the key player to the Firm's financial operations, the Senior Legal Cashier will be entrusted with a variety of critical tasks. Responsibilities include managing both office and client payments, overseeing billing processes, preparing VAT returns, conducting bank reconciliations, ensuring compliance with Solicitors Account Rules, resolving general account queries, executing month and year-end duties and processing payroll.Your day will consist of dealing with the following duties
  • SAR and all other statutory compliance
  • Costs management and staff training in same
  • Bank reconciliations, all ledger management, all billings 
  • Credit control and debt recovery
  • Processing all forms of financial transactions
  • Fee-earners' billings, time-recording and costs
  • Producing end of year accounts
  • Processing payroll  
  • Dealing with petty cash
  • VAT and other statutory returns
  • BACS and CHAPS
  • Electronic payments
  • Conveyancing completions
  • Reporting at partner level
