Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Kettering
Hours: Monday to Friday, days
Pay: £13 - £13.50 per hour
We are looking at recruiting a member of staff in our clients manufacturing workshop in Kettering. They are a small, friendly company who manufacture temporary warehouse structures and they are looking to take someone on a long-term / permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is happy to “think on their feet”.
Duties will include:
This is very much a hands-on role, and the successful candidate would be required to take part in the daily manufacturing tasks including the use of workshop equipment like chop saws, pillar drills and air hand tools
Produce parts from technical drawings and using preset jigs (training provided)
Goods in, including completing the required paperwork
Picking and packing
Deliver goods to customers (on occasion)
Occasionally erect temporary warehouses structures as part of an installation team
General housekeeping
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
Previous manufacturing / workshop experience
Full UK driver’s license (3 points max)
Flexible with working hours during busy periods
Able to do some very occasional overnight stays during installs (this is not frequent, maybe 1 to 2 times a year)
Counterbalance forklift license (not essential)
The job requires you to be on your feet all day therefore you must be physically fit
