Join this vibrant culinary team in Kettering as a Sous Chef, where fresh food and creative menu development are at the heart of operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef who is eager to engage in a role that offers both personal and professional growth.

Ideal Profile:

  • Previous experience in kitchen management or as a Sous Chef, preferably within environments that emphasize fresh produce
  • Strong foundation in culinary techniques and a passion for menu innovation - specifically from a fresh food environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of nurturing a team
  • Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Key Responsibilities:

You will be working closely with the Head Chef and Kitchen Team supporting day to day running of the kitchen.

All food is all cooked from fresh, deal candidate would have a background in fresh produce. There will also be opportunities for you to have an input with your own dishes on our menu.

  • Supervise the kitchen staff and oversee the day-to-day operations in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and reflect our commitment to quality
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to introduce new dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients and innovative flavours
  • Uphold all health and safety standards, ensuring the kitchen meets regulatory requirements

Shift patterns:

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 14:30 (spilt) then 17:00 – 21:00 / 21:15 (perfect around school hours)
  • Saturday: 07:30 / 08:00am – 4 / 4:30pm, or, 11am / 12pm – Finish (worked on a rota)
  • Sunday: 07:30 / 08:00am – 4 / 4:30pm, or, 11am / 12pm – Finish 20:30 finish (worked on a rota)
