Our client who are one of the UK's largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies are looking for a new Surfacing Contracts Manager based in the Midlands out of their Derby office. The company offers a competitive Salary up to £65,000, Company Car, Private Medical, Life Assurance and a Bonus Scheme .

The Surfacing Contracts Manager will be managing all aspects of asphalt surfacing contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Contracts Manager Job Overview
  • Key point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and the site team
  • Manage Asphalt Surfacing projects across the Midlands area
  • Commercial control working with the Quantity Surveyors
  • Management of operational employees ensuring the continuous development of skills by understanding training needs analysis
  • Carry out site inspections and audits in line with company requirements
  • Lead and motivate the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality culture, performance and compliance
  • Writing health and safety plans, method
Contracts Manager Job Requirements
  • Construction Management Qualification
  • A valid CSCS card
  • A proven track record of managing contracts in the surfacing industry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors
  • Proactively and positively promote Health & Safety at all times
  • Strong negotiation skills on prime contracts
  • Commercial awareness, with a focus on controlling cost and optimising value
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor
