A college in Bedford is seeking an Associate Art Technician to join their Art Department. This role is crucial in supporting the success of students by maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The Art Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks including equipment checks, environment maintenance, and stock management.
Day-to-day of the role:- Check and maintain art equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Tidy and maintain a safe working environment for students and staff.
- Decorate display boards for student artwork.
- Log maintenance and IT jobs as required.
- Keep art supplies and stock up to date, ensuring all materials are readily available for classes.
- Assist in setting up for art classes and exhibitions as needed.
- Qualification in Art.
- English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
