A college in Bedford is seeking an Associate Art Technician to join their Art Department. This role is crucial in supporting the success of students by maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The Art Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks including equipment checks, environment maintenance, and stock management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Check and maintain art equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Tidy and maintain a safe working environment for students and staff.
  • Decorate display boards for student artwork.
  • Log maintenance and IT jobs as required.
  • Keep art supplies and stock up to date, ensuring all materials are readily available for classes.
  • Assist in setting up for art classes and exhibitions as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualification in Art.
  • English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
