Gap technical are proud to be representing a market leading engineering business in their search for an Electrical Technician.
Job Profile
- Fitting of electrical components in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Assembling a wide variety of electrical control panels - components would include PLC's, invertors, sensors, relays busbars, breakers, drives and invertors.
- Installation and testing of electrical panels and cable assemblies.
- Commissioning of machines, and factory and site acceptance.
Person Specification
- Fully qualified BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition).
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Experience in control and automation.
- Experience in building / modifying control panels.
- Knowledge of BS 60204 Electrical equipment of machines / control panels.
- Experience in fault finding.
- Experience / knowledge of testing to BS7671.
- An understanding of Risk Assessment & Method Statements.
- Ability to read schematic drawings.
- Flexible working within a team.
- Adaptability to periodic tight timescales.
