Production Electrician required for a leading test and research organisation based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This well-established and respected company provide specialist services to a range of industry sectors within the UK and worldwide.
The Production Electrician will play a key role in the manufacturing, development and maintenance of special purpose machinery and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a world-renowned organisation known for quality and innovation.
As a Production Electrician you will be required to carry out the following:Wire a range of machinery from wiring diagrams, commission, quality check and calibrate equipment to meet deadlines
- Conduct on-site installations, fault-finding and repairs both domestic and overseas
- Engage in prototype and development work
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product designs
- Support the enhancement of final build quality checks
- Support documentation of build process.
Applications are invited from candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Level 3 qualification in electrical installation/wiring or mechatronics (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Independent problem solver with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence
- A willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an ad-hoc basis (approximately 1 to 5 weeks per year)
Knowledge / experience of the following would be useful:
- Panel wiring
- Knowledge of PLC logic/programming and motor drive inverters
- PAT qualification
- Mechanical fitting
- Customer facing
- Work-related travel
