Location: Kettering
Salary: 40,000 - 47,000 (DOE) + Overtime
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm
Are you an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter looking for a stable, full-time role with a well-established company? We are currently seeking a skilled Site-Based Heavy Plant Fitter to join our clients team in Kettering, working for a leading aggregates business with a solid reputation in the industry.
The Role:
As part of our dedicated maintenance team, you'll be responsible for the repair, servicing, and general upkeep of a wide range of fixed and mobile plant equipment across their busy site. This includes (but isn't limited to):
- Crushers
- Screeners
- Diggers
- Dumpers
- Fleet of HGVs
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs on all site equipment
Diagnosing and fault-finding to minimise downtime
Ensuring all machinery is safe, compliant, and operating efficiently
Supporting the team with breakdowns and urgent repairs
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery (fixed and mobile)
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent) is desirable
A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
