£12.24 per hour (Weekly Pay)

Our client is currently looking for an experienced, ambitious transport clerk to join the team in their retail operation.

You will be working alongside the assistant transport manager and the transport team and be responsible for providing on-site admin support. You must have experience in a similar to be considered for this opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and accurately despatching drivers with all relevant paperwork
  • Making sure the correct trailer numbers are inputted into the internal tracking system
  • Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures before entering site, when required
  • Completing all daily tasks for compliance purposes
  • Downloading vehicle & driver digital tachographs as per requirements
  • Transport System management

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft packages; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills and time management
  • Flexible and articulate, and able to cope within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Sound knowledge of transport and logistics, including drivers WTD
