Transport Clerk required for immediate start at well renowned company In Burton Lattimer, Kettering. Temp - perm opportunity A background in transport is essential for this position. Salary of £28,000Available shifts:Friday – Monday – 05:00am – 15:00pmMonday – Friday 21:00pm – 06:00pmAs the Transport clerk, you will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of our transport team. You will ensure that all transportation activities run smoothly, efficiently, and are in line with company standards. You’ll be responsible for managing schedules, tracking deliveries, maintaining compliance with legal requirements, and providing administrative support to our logistics team.Duties will include:
  • Schedule and Dispatch: Coordinate driver schedules and dispatch vehicles to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain all transport-related documents including delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance records, and compliance paperwork.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately log and track transport data, generating regular reports on vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and delivery performance.
  • Customer Service: Respond to client inquiries, resolve transport-related issues, and provide excellent service to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all transport activities comply with legal and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of driver hours, licenses, and vehicle inspections.
  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between drivers, management, and clients, ensuring clear communication across all parties.
