Head of Sales : Saas

Our Head of Sales role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SaaS sales professional to lead revenue growth for a new range of data products. Backed by a FTSE-listed national brand, this role offers the flexibility of a startup environment combined with the stability of an established company.

The service focuses on Automated Valuation Methodology (AVM), which is already in demand with live clients awaiting release. The successful candidate will drive sales growth by managing subscription-based license agreements, and contracts ranging from £500k to £2m+, while shaping the role and team structure to ensure continued success.

The Head of Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships with key clients, and positioning e.surv’s data products as essential solutions within the wider property and financial services sector. The role requires an innovative thinker who is skilled in both consultative selling and the nuances of data-driven products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue by targeting new clients and upselling to current clients, with a strong emphasis on SaaS data solutions within the property sector.

  • Secure new business in regulated environments, with a particular focus on UK lenders, insurers, property and other similar sectors, where experience will offer a distinct advantage.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

  • In collaboration with the Senior Management Team, lead the strategic presentation of e.surv’s innovative data products to both existing and potential clients, ensuring the alignment of sales efforts with broader business objectives.

  • Acquire new corporate clients, overseeing the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals, with a particular focus on subscription-based license agreements (£500k to £2m+).

  • Partner with the Account Management team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to existing customers.

  • Work closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that meet their unique needs, ensuring long-term partnerships and driving the wide adoption of data products across the property, lender, and insurance sectors.

  • Act as a key point of contact for data services clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing proactive recommendations for further investment or resource allocation to maximize success.

  • Research and explore new markets within the property, lending, and insurance sectors to identify and capitalise on emerging trends.

  • Position e.surv’s data services as essential solutions, leveraging the brand’s recognition and robust client onboarding support.

  • Lead and deliver high-impact sales presentations and pitches to potential clients, with particular focus on the UK lending market.

  • Coordinate formal responses to tenders and manage proposals to meet client needs, ensuring alignment with e.surv’s strategic objectives.

  • Manage an element of account management for larger, complex deals, while focusing primarily on generating new business.

  • Adopt a professional and entrepreneurial approach and be results driven, working with KPIs including revenue growth, customer satisfaction and quality.Develop and implement a sales strategy for data services to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.

Core Requirements

  • Strong understanding of complimentary sectors - for example, the property market, property data services, financial services, insurers and similar.

  • Experience within Fintech or Proptech is desirable to support market advantage

  • Proven experience in B2B sales with industry knowledge, and at least 3 years in a senior management role.

  • Track record of success in acquiring and managing large corporate accounts, preferably within the data industry or a related field.

  • Ability to engage internally and externally at Board level.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market data and trends to drive business decisions.

  • Willingness to travel as required
