Position: Senior Care Assistant (Both Day & Night Shifts Available)

Responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant (Both Day & Night Shifts):

Home Management Support:
  • Assist the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Assistant Manager in the efficient and caring management of the home.
  • Conduct walking handovers, ensuring accountability for all residents at the start and end of shifts.
  • Ensure staff contribute to the efficient running of the home, creating the right atmosphere, and leading by example.
Training and Development:
  • Support the training and development of all staff.
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the in-house training program to a high standard.
  • Personal Care and Environment:
  • Support residents with all aspects of personal care while maintaining and promoting independence.
  • Ensure residents use the environment according to their care plan and understand the Mobile Care Monitoring System (MCM).
  • Perform either care duties or assist with cleaning duties during the entire night shift.
Safety and Security:
  • Ensure the home is safe and secure.
  • Conduct regular checks throughout the night for each resident's individual needs.
Essential Attributes:
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 2, working towards NVQ Level 3 or above.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor staff.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills.
