Our construction industry client in Kettering is expanding and looking for an Estimator / Junior Design Technician to join their growing team.

This is a full-time, permanent role requiring a keen eye for detail and a structured, methodical approach. You will create and complete Multi Utility quotes, adhering to company procedures to meet developer timelines and requirements. Full training will be provided to ensure you’re set up for success!

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Manage utility connection queries, plans, and studies (water, gas, electricity).
  • Review and revise quotes and technical drawings.
  • Conduct network studies and produce cost models.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (colleagues, developers, clients).
  • Attend client meetings and provide regular updates.
  • Review colleagues' work and offer constructive feedback.

Project Management & Administration:

  • Manage project timelines and priorities.
  • Track client progress and update information systems.
  • Perform general administrative tasks (filing, emails, calls).
  • Archive project documents electronically.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Some experience in an office/administration role - Preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD - Essential.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel.
  • A basic understanding of utilities is helpful, but full training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • A team player who can also use initiative.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge - Essential.
  • Interest in project management - Desirable.
